i know he's an american who everybody calls "jimmy" but i think barry nelson is actually a pretty great (film) bond! suave and charming. it's an hour long cheapo pulp novel adaptation, and it feels like it, but i really quite enjoyed my short time with it. the extended explanation of baccarat and the extended portrayal of a very unadorned baccarat game was very accurate to the novel. the cowardly broccolis cowered away from ever having bond just sit down with someone to explain the rules to a card game for a solid 10 minutes.

i like it
