"Quantum of Solace," 2008.

i *really* like some of the action in this (whatever the fuck was going on with that cgi plane shit notwithstanding). it's late 2000s quick-cut, but it's all perfectly readable, it's staggeringly visceral and there's a lot of novel stunts and creative uses of location and sticking the camera wherever-the-hell it will hit hardest, Crank-style. i honestly cannot tell you how good some of these fights are.

the movie as a whole is ok. disjointed, poorly plotted, and sorta stupid. i like monopolizing the world's water supply (starting with bolivia) is actually really cool, though the movie does a bad job of explaining why. mathieu almaric is fantastic. craig is actually giving a great performance here, covered up by a lot of trash
